Harry vs Edward


Harry Potter vs Edward Elric

For Both we'll be using Canon Material so for Edward we'll be using Brotherhood and 2003 adaptation and the Manga for Harry I'll be mostly using the Novels, Movies and anything which is considered canon.

Background

Harry Potter



Born July 31st 1980 Harry James Potter was the only child of James and Lily Potter. Harry was a special child a Prophecy once told that two children have the power to defeat the evil wizard Voldemort and Harry was one of them so the other being Neville Longbottom. After finding out about the prophecy Voldemort would attempt to kill Harry but Voldemort would be unsuccessful at killing Harry but his Parents would be killed during the attack. To keep him safe from Voldemort he would be brought to his aunt and uncle by Dumbledore who also place a charm on him which protected him from Voldemort. Due to his aunt resentment of Magic Harry was neglected and abused.

On his 11th Birthday Harry would receive letters from Hogwarts school of witchcraft but his aunt and uncle would change address to stop receive letters and not let Harry join Hogwarts. However after moving to somewhere else Dumbledore would come to pick up Harry himself and reveal he is a Wizard. After taking Harry from his aunt and uncle he would join Hogwarts and would be assigned into Gryffindor House where he would meet Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and would become great friends with them. Harry would would make a name for himself. During The Triwizard Tournament the Tournament would end with the return of Voldemort. The next year Harry, Ron and Hermione would form a group called Dumbledore's Army which teaches Hogwarts students proper defense against against dark arts. Harry would fight in the Battle of department of mystery during the battle he would lose his godfather Sirius Black which also broke the prophecy.

Harry would also fight in the second Wizarding War where he alongside Ron and Hermione would hunt down and destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes. During the Battle of Hogwarts after seeing many allies perish he would confront Voldemort and nearly sacrificed himself knowing by doing so he would destroy the fragment of Voldemort's soul inside of him. After sacrificing himself he was brought into the Limbo where he would be given the choice to either live or move on he would chose to live and wake up and defeat Voldemort for once and for all.

After the war Harry would marry and have 3 children he would become an auror and help reform the Ministry of Magic. He would become head of the British auror office at 26 years old and in 2020 he would be promoted to Head of the department of magical law enforcement. 

Edward Elric


Born 1899 to Trisha Elric and Van Hohenheim Edward was raised by his single mom after his father suddenly disappeared. Even at a young age Edward had talent for Alchemy. Trisha would contract a illness and end up passing away leaving Edward and his brother Alphonse orphans. Edward and Alphonse would be taken care of Winry Rockbell a close friend of them and her grandmother. 

One day the boys had the idea to resurrect her mother with alchemy so they drew a Transmutation Circle and used everything they needed to resurrect their mother unfortunately the boys would be met by the Gate of Truth and by a being called the truth who takes Edward left leg and Alphonse's entire body. To not lose his brother Edward would sacrifice his right arm to imbue Alphonse's soul into a suit of Armor.

Years later the boys would become members of State Alchemist helping people around towns with the usage of alchemy and look for The Legendary Philosophers Stone. They would go through many adventures and discover many dark secrets such as that the Philosopher Stone is made up of imprisoned human souls. So Edward and Alphonse vowed to never use the Philosophers Stone.

In the end Edward would sacrifice his alchemy to give Alphonse his body back and would settle down with his childhood friend Winry Rockbell.

Harry has learn a lot of spells from a simple Avada Kedavra to scooping out a chunk of your enemy.
  • Avada Kedavra: can kill the enemy instantly however Harry has never used it and will mostly not use it as he restricts himself from using it.
  • Apparition: The user has to focus on the desired location and will be brought their immediately. (Instant Transmission)
  • Accio: allows the caster bring object close to them as long its in their sight.
  • Aguamenti (Water-Making Spell): creates a fountain of Water.
  • Ascendio: lifts the caster in the air.
  • Confringo: cause anything the spell touches to explode. (Killer Queen Daisan No Bakudan Bites Za Dusto)
  • Crucio: can cause the enemy to feel immense pain but it can not be used in anger it can only be used if the caster wants the person to feel pain.
  • Defodio: the caster can gouge a chunk off of their enemy.
  • Depulso: this spell pushes the enemy away from the caster.
  • Diffindo: this spell cuts anything it touches precisely and accurately.
  • Episkey: with this spell Harry can heal minor injuries, broken bones and cartilages.
  • Erecto: can be used to build a tent or other objects.
  • Expectro Patronum: a spirit like creature will be created by the casters positive emotions to defend from Evil creatures it can also be used to send messages to other Witches and Wizards.
  • Expelliarmus: disarms the opponent.
  • Feather-Light charm: makes something light.
  • Furnunculus: covers the enemy in boils or in pipmples.
  • Imperio: the enemy will be put in an Dream like state in which they will be subjected to the casters will they may resist it if they are also strong willed.
  • Inflatos: Inflates objects both living and dead.
  • Langlock: glues the enemies tongue to the roof of their mouth.
  • Levicorpus: dangles the enemy by their ankles upside down.
  • Liberacorpus: a counter to Levicorpus.
  • Locomotiv Mortis: Locks the legs together making the enemy unable to move in any way.
  • Lumos: creates a bright light at the tip of the wand which can be used like a torch.
  • Lumos Maximus: shoots a ball of light to where ever the wand is pointing.
  • Muffliato: creates a buzzing that makes them unable to hear.
  • Nox: turns off the light from Lumos.
  • Periculum: creates a red spark/flares that shoots out of the wand.
  • Point Me: the wand acts like a compass and points north.
  • Protego: creates a shield which reflects other spells towards the spell caster.
  • Protego Totalum: creates a shield which covers a small area that doesn't let anything through except Avada Kedevra, Imperio and Crucio.
  • Reducio: shrinks objects.
  • Reducto: disintegrates objects.
  • Refiling Charm: refills any container if the caster points at it.
  • Relashio: makes the enemy drop anything that they are gripping onto.
  • Rennervate: revives a stunned person.
  • Reparo: repairs objects.
  • Repello Muggletum: keeps any non-magical person away from wizarding places when they get close to it they will remember something important and do that instead.
  • Rictumsempra: tickles the enemy.
  • Riddikulus: used when fighting against Bogard it makes the Bogard appear as something funny to the caster making Bogard lose ability to scare the caster.
  • Sectrumsempra: creates gashes on the enemy like they were cut by a sword.
  • Shooting Spell: shoots object.
  • Stinging Hex: causes stinging on the enemy which leaves inflammations on the enemy. 
  • Stupefy: stuns enemies if used to forcefully it knocks them unconscious.
  • Switching Spell: switches two objects.
  • Wingardium Leviosa: levitates and moves whatever the caster points at.

Edward

Alchemy


Edward is a prodigy when it comes to using alchemy. Alchemy is basically manipulating matter using transmutation.
There are 3 steps to Alchemy

  • Analysis: The Alchemist must have full understanding of what there trying to transmutate including its composition.
  • Deconstruction: The Alchemist proceeds to break down matter on the atomic level. with this they can destroy whatever they wish to.
  • Reconstruction: The Alchemist can reconstruct the matter into whatever they want.

Transmutation

Edward can use this ability in many ways use it to for example use to turn any Elemental into a weapon when he used blood to make weapons due to its Iron composition. Another thing he can do is transform himself into a Philosopher Stone. 


Deconstruction

Deconstruction allows the Alchemist to destroy the enemies Body entirely.

Healing

By turning himself into a Philosophers Stone can heal fatal wounds. This Technique is dangerous however as it takes away a bit of the Alchemist's Lifespan.

Harry Potter

Wand


The wand is Harry's essential to cast spells whilst he can cast some spells without using the wand but its more versatile.

Invisibility Cloak


A magical Cloak which could render who over is covered Invisible. This was used by Harry's father during his time in Hogwarts but then was given to Harry by Dumbledore.

Firebolt


a Magical Broom that Harry uses throughout his Time. The Broom can fly at 150 miles per hour.


Marauder's Map


A map that can show every single room corner and secret passage.


Edward

Automail Arm


Edward uses an Automail Arm he has worn around 3 Automail Arms one built by Winry Rockbell which was mostly Steel. 

His second Automail Arm was given to him after his fight with Scar which was made with Chrome to make it more rust-resistant. 

His 3rd and last arm was given to him whilst traveling the colder regions which was composed of flexible cold resistant aluminium-carbon nanotube fiber which was more compatible with his Alchemy and it was lighter.

Blade


Ed can transmutate his automail arm into a Blade.

A Spear that Ed can throw or use for close-quarters combat.

Ed can also create Cannons.

by touching the ground Edward can create hands that can grab his opponents.

Harry Potter


Harry needs his Wand to perform most of his spells whilst he can use some without it its more versatile. He also has horrible eyesight so if he's glasses are gone he can't see at all. His Scar on his Forehead causes him great pain whenever he was near Voldemort.


Edward is a prodigy Alchemist but he also has weaknesses without his Automail Arm he can't perform any Alchemy rendering him useless he's also a bit hothead and his Temper rises easily especially when his height is mentioned.


Verdict

Strength: Strength wise Edward is Small Town to Town Level at a lowball via creating walls around a Mountain scaling to Von Hohenheim and making giants which get to 1.79, 4.12 and 9.17 but this is Nothing compered to Harry who scales to Dumbledore covering London in fog coming out to 29.21 Kilotons. However if we take in the Philosopher Stone for Edward it changes as the Stone can wipe town which comes out to around 190.6-672.6 Kilotons which is nothing compared to Von Hohenheim using his Soul to power up a Transmutation circle which comes out to around 5.03 Petatons if we compare this to Harry's best which is 798.10 Gigatons this makes Edward 6000 times stronger of course if he uses the Philosophers Stone which he vowed to never use. 

Speed: Harry is faster as he scales to characters such as Hermione who can dodge spells and he defeated Voldemort who can block spells coming out to 2.14 times lightspeed. Even at a Lowball Edwards best is Mach 20.05 but Harry can dodge Voldemort's Lightning which comes out to Mach 70.92. So Harry gets this point

Hax: Edward does have a lot of Hax but they are nearly all close range as Edward needs to touch Harry to use them. If he plans to trap him in some sort of object he also needs to sacrifice something like when he put Alphonse Soul into the suit of armor he lost his arm afterwards whilst Harry has spells that are busted such paralysis Edward making him unable to move, sneaking up on him with his cloak and lets not talk about Avada Kedavra which is a one-shot move only Harry hasn't use this in the Movie's nor Novels and he will never use it due to his moral code. But this still goes to Harry as he can do other stuff such as shrinking Edward. This Point also goes to Harry.

Equipment: like mentioned in the Hax section most of Edwards Weapons are mostly close range which means he has to get up close and personal but thats gonna be hard for some who can simply fly away, teleport or be Invisible. The only weapons that he could use are spears, cannons and those hands which come out the ground but they have to catch Harry first and with a speed difference that massive I highly doubt that Edward can catch Harry with any of of his long range weapons. Harry's Equipment is just way better a flying broom and a Invisible Cloak is way better. This point goes to Harry.

In conclusion Harry has way more Hax better Equipment and due to the Speed difference is taking this Win

Knuckles vs Piccolo

 Knuckles vs Piccolo




For this well be Canon Material so no Archie or no Xeno only Manga, Anime and Games. Both of them are getting their usual equipment so no Dragon Balls or No Item boxes as Knuckles doesn't have them on him.

Background

Piccolo


After Demon King Piccolo was defeated by the hands of Son Goku with the last of his power to spit out an egg to create his son Piccolo Jr who would avenge him . After hatching Piccolo trains for 3 years until the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament where he would face off against Goku after a long battle Piccolo would lose but Goku would let him live to have him as a rival to fight against Piccolo would continue training during that time until one day he would encountered by a Saiyan Warrior named Raditz who found him whilst looking for Goku after Piccolo used his most powerful attack against Raditz which didn't faze him at all Raditz would pick up another high Power Level and Ignore Piccolo and fly to his new target. Piccolo would follow Raditz to Kame House where he would listen to Raditz plan to destroy the Planet after seeing Goku beaten up he offers to help save his son Gohan from Raditz. Together they would follow Raditz and fight against him despite being outmatched they would defeat Raditz with Piccolo's new technique called Special Beam Cannon but Goku sacrificed himself to kill Raditz so that Piccolo can hit his Beam. After finding out that more Saiyan's will come to earth he would take Goku's son to prepare him to fight against the Sayain's. After training Gohan for a year the Saiyan's would arrive and they would fight for a long time Piccolo would end up sacrificing himself for Gohan and admit to him that he saw him like a son.

After dying he alongside Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu would end up on King Kai's Planet where they would go through the same training as Goku. After Krillin, Gohan and Dende would gather the namekian dragon balls to wish Piccolo back he would be brought to Planet Namek where he would fuse with another Namekian named Nail which increased his Power to unbelievable amount after a power boost Piccolo would help Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta fight against Frieza in his second form. Frieza realized that his second form wouldn't be enough so he would transform again into a stronger form in which Piccolo couldn't keep up and would end up being beaten until Goku arrived to fight Frieza after Goku uses the Spirit Bomb on Frieza assuming he was dead they would celebrate as Frieza rises and Piccolo would shield Goku from one of Frieza's beams knocking out Piccolo to the verge of death after witnessing that and Frieza blowing up Krilin Goku would unleash his Super Saiyan powers and tell Gohan to take Piccolo to leave Namek alongside Bulma. During that time Mr.Popo would gather earths Dragon Balls to revive everyone who was killed by the Hand's of Frieza allowing Dende to use their last wish to bring everyone except Frieza and Goku to Planet earth to safety. After they arrived safely to earth Dende would heal Piccolo. After 260 days (2 Namekian years) they wish back everyone who died during their battle against the Saiyans and they wish to bring the Namekians to a new planet however Piccolo decides to stay on earth to watch over Gohan and protect him and protect earth leaving his past behind and becoming a protector of earth.


Knuckles


Knuckles would be born on Angel Island on which the Master Emerald is housed. 3000 years ago Angel Island was Echidna Clan whose leader Pachacamac was planning to steal the Master Emerald to use it to make his clan more powerful and use it for their survival  of the clan little did they know the Emerald was guarded by a creature called Chaos who would defend the Emerald from the Clan. One Day chaos would approach by Tikal the daughter of Pachacamac who he gained her trust. One day Pachacamac planned one big attack on Chaos to get the Master Emerald Tikal would hear about this plan and tries to convince Chaos to leave but the Island but she wasn't able to and Pachacamac would launch a brutal attack on Chaos but would end enraging chaos leading him to turn into perfect chaos and wipe out everyone. Tikal would use an ancient prayer to seal chaos and herself into Master Emerald. From that day onward the remaining of the Knuckles clan would protect the Emerald to make sure that a accident like that wouldn't happen again. The clan would experience a terminal decline which left the clan with one surviving member Knuckles.

One day whilst protecting the Emerald a giant space station would crash on Angel Island when Knuckles went to investigate he found a scientist called Dr. Ivo Robotnik who explained that a Hedgehog and a Fox called Sonic and Tails caused his Space Station to crash on the Island and that they stole the Chaos Emeralds believing Eggman Knuckles starts looking for Sonic and Tails. When Sonic arrived on the Island he would ambush him and knock him out of his Super form and steal the Chaos Emerald after trapping Sonic and Tails numerous times throughout their Journey he would visit the Hidden Palace which is where the Master Emerald was held to his surprise however Sonic and Tails also made it to the Palace and after a fighting against them he would lose. After his defeat he would hear a explosion coming from where the Emerald was stored to his shock Eggman was trying to steal the Master Emerald figuring out he was deceived he would try and stop Eggman from stealing the Emerald however he would be electrocuted. Realizing that Sonic and Tails weren't the bad guys he would accompany them to Sky Sanctuary where they could make it in time on top the Death Egg however Knuckles would stay behind due to him being exhausted. After defeating Eggman Sonic and Tails would bring back the Master Emerald to Knuckles to guard him.

Days pass and Angel Island would be attacked by one of the Eggrobos. Knuckles would follow the Eggrobo all the way to Sky Sanctuary where he would be captured and brought to Mecha Sonic who stole the Master Emerald to power himself up. Knuckles could free himself from Eggrobo's Egg mobile which led to their fight where Knuckles would come out victorious but their fight cause the stage to collapse fortunately Knuckles was saved by Sonic with his Tornado and he would be dropped off back again by Angel Island with the Emerald. After being saved by Sonic he decided to become an ally to help him out whenever he needs him even commanding a resistance against Eggman after Sonic was captured.

Pair of Gloves that Knuckles uses to destroy stuff such as Containers.

a Pair of glasses that allows Knuckles to see Invisible obstacles.

Knuckles plants a bomb in the ground that explodes if an enemy makes contact with it.

Ultimate Piccolo or Potential Unleashed Piccolo is a form where Piccolo uses his Power to the Fullest.

Orange Piccolo

Orange Piccolo is a Form that Piccolo unlocked by wishing his potential to be unlocked by Shenron. It is his strongest Form making as strong as Goku and the rest of the Z Fighter top fighters.

Super Knuckles

Super Knuckles is a form which uses the energy of the Chaos Emeralds which makes him several times stronger and faster than his base form.

Hyper Knuckles

After using the Super Emeralds he can transform into Hyper Knuckles a Form which makes him Invulnerable and massively stronger than his Super form.

Piccolo's regeneration is stamina based meaning if he's fatigued he can't regenerate anything. He also has limited Senzu Beans. His Special Beam cannon takes time to charge making him vulnerable.


Knuckles


Knuckles is very naive and gullible believing Eggman who tried to steal the Master Emerald from him Numerous times. Sonic also calls him very predictable. His super and Hyper Form rely on Rings if he runs out he will turn back to his normal state.

Verdict

Strength: at a Lowball both are around Planet to Solar System Level Knuckles through using one Emerald power which can come out to 50,07 yottatons to all the way up to 0.47 Foe whilst Piccolo scales to characters such as Frieza who could destroy Planet Vegeta coming out to around 4.8 Quettatons to 758,93 Foe. So at a Lowball Piccolo is stronger but what about Highballs. Knuckles best is scaling to Time Eater who can destroy a Timeline which is around Universal and also Sonic survived the Paradox Crystal exploding which destroyed a Universe. Compare this to Piccolo who should scale to Goku who in his fight with Beerus nearly destroyed the Universe which comes out at a Lowball to 3 times universal meaning at a Lowball Piccolo is 3 times stronger and at a Highball he's 1755 times stronger and that's not taking into the fact Goku after his fight absorbed that all into his base meaning he can stack his Multipliers and Kaio-ken on top of this. So yeah this point goes to Piccolo.

Speed: Knuckles at the highest can reach 146 Quadrillion times FTL but Piccolo is way faster due to the the shockwaves travelling through the Universe in seconds coming out to around 1.747 Quintillion times lightspeed at a Lowball whilst at a Highball he would be 506.772 Sextillion times FTL.

Hax: Hax wise I gotta give this to Knuckles as he has a lot of answers to stuff such as Piccolo's Regen as Super form can hurt stuff such as Solaris who's got way better Regen than Piccolo. Knuckles also can just draw an infinity symbol to create more rings and he's Invincible in his Super and Hyper forms. He can negate Piccolo's Barrier so Knuckles gets this Point.

Stamina: This one is tricky whilst both have options to recover their Stamina. Knuckles travelled alongside Sonic and Tails for 3 days in Sonic Heroes whilst Piccolo went to train Goten and Trunks in the Hyper Bolic Time Chamber for an 1 Hour in the Hyper Bolic Time Chamber times passes differently 1 Second is 6 Minutes and 1 Minute is 6 Hours and a 1 Hour is 15 Days meaning Piccolo can train for days whilst Knuckles can travel for 3 days so Piccolo has more Stamina. Knuckles does have better Stamina recovery due to Cycloops which can grant him Infinite Boost for a few minutes and can create rings by making circles to increase his time in his Super and Hyper forms.

Equipment: Yeah Piccolo doesn't have much so this goes to Knuckles.

  • can summon Rings as long as he has Boost meter
  • Has the best theme in the entire series

  • has no answer to containment wave
  • can be restrained by Piccolos hands
  • has limited boost meter


Conclusion

Knuckles has many advantages but in the end he can't do much against someone who's thousands of times faster and stronger. His limited time in his Super and Hyper form also means he has very limited access to his best abilities meaning if he runs out he can do much but Piccolo has the superior stats and Stamina to take down the last of the Echidna race.
